Test Kitchen tips

  • When she sent us this recipe, Carolyn suggested another variation: peach and raspberry. Substitute peach schnapps or raspberry liquor for the melon liquor, and use fresh peaches and raspberries instead of the watermelon and blackberries.
  • Carolyn also suggested adding sprigs of fresh herbs to the sangria. Mint, basil, lemon verbena and lemon balm are her recommendations. Here in the Test Kitchen, we think rosemary and lavender are also delicious.
